Your explanation appears here
Concrete is usually ordered with a waste allowance because excavation, uneven sub-base, spillage and measurement variation can increase real use.
Your plan appears after calculation
Test a different waste allowance or bag yield without changing your main result.
Calculate your baseline first
For slabs and footings it multiplies length × width × depth. For round columns and tubes it uses π × radius² × depth/height. The selected waste percentage is then added to the base wet volume.
The tool divides total concrete volume by the yield per bag and rounds up to the next whole bag. Check the yield printed on your bag, because different premix products and bag sizes vary.
Small repairs are usually manageable with bags, but larger pours can involve hundreds of bags. For several cubic metres or structural work, compare ready-mix delivery, site access, labour and local code requirements.
Results are estimates generated locally in your browser from standard geometry, bag yield and waste assumptions. They are for planning purposes only, not engineering, structural, code or supplier advice. Confirm dimensions, reinforcement, concrete strength, delivery constraints and local requirements with a qualified professional or supplier before ordering.
