Calculate your baseline first
It multiplies length × width, subtracts fixed non-floor areas, adds your selected waste allowance, then rounds up to full packs based on pack coverage.
For many straight-lay rooms, 5–10% is a common planning buffer. Diagonal layouts, herringbone, small cuts, closets or irregular rooms often need 10–20% or more.
The total includes pack cost, optional underlay estimate and trim if you enter those prices. It does not automatically include labour, adhesive, floor levelling, transitions, delivery or tool rental.
