Calculate your baseline first
The calculator converts distance and gas units, then calculates MPG, L/100km, cost per mile, cost per kilometre and total trip cost.
MPG increases as efficiency improves, while L/100km decreases as efficiency improves. They describe the same trip from opposite directions.
Trip cost is gas used multiplied by the price you enter. Cost per mile divides that trip cost by miles driven; cost per kilometre uses the converted kilometre distance.
