Enter your tempo and song structure to estimate the total length.
Tempo controls pace
A higher BPM makes each beat shorter, reducing total duration when the number of bars stays the same.
Time signature matters
Beats per bar affect the total beat count. Most pop and rock music uses four beats per bar.
Add real-world timing
Use intro, outro, and extra-time fields for spoken sections, pauses, fades, silence, or transitions.
Frequently asked questions
How is song length calculated?
Total beats are calculated as bars × beats per bar × repetitions. That value is multiplied by 60 ÷ BPM, then any intro, outro, and extra time are added.
Can I use this for a song with tempo changes?
This calculator assumes one steady BPM. For tempo changes, calculate each section separately and add the section lengths together.
What does number of repetitions mean?
It lets you repeat the entered bar structure. For example, 32 bars repeated twice equals 64 bars total.
Does this include fade-outs and silence?
Only when you enter those seconds in the intro, outro, or extra-time fields.
